Fresh Round Up In Asmara
Sunday, 28 October 2007
A day after the official government media announced that
the Ethiopian goverment has received a green light form the US adminsration
to open war against Eritrea on the first week of November, a massive round up
was seen in Asmara on Saturday 27th of October 2007.
Armed soldiers were seen every where asking or ID cards. What was different
in this round up is that, the soldiers were stopping buses and cars for papers.
Security has been very tight after the assasination attempt on Colonel Simon
Gebredingel, who is Assistant National Security Chief.
After the news, Asmara residents are now increasingly becoming worried as to
who is going to die and for what purpose.
