Former members of the Eritrea Support
Campaign Uk who in the 1980s were
active in support of Eritrean liberation
struggle have set up this website to help bring about for the
release of Ermias Debessai, his sister Senait and all other Eritrean prisoners in late 2004.

Today Eritrea has the largest number of the prisoners of conscience anywhere in the world. To help increase public awareness of human rights abuses and injustices in Eritrea, the resources of this website are regularly revised. As well as news and reports, photographs are presented of prisoners of conscience, women prisoners, journalist prisoners, former government officials and of those imprisoned for their religious faith. Pictures of various demonstrations are included.

This website also serves as an Eritrean Human Rights Electronic Archive in order to:

• serve as a platform to hasten the introduction of Justice and democracy in Eritrea
• publicize the plight of prisoners of conscience, and ongoing human right violations by the present government
• conduct literature searches and make accessible to the public all human rights violations committed by the Ethiopian government, and the former EPLF and ELF veteran revolutionary leaders during the armed struggle.
