Libyan authorities deport 30 Eritreans to Asmara

Libyan authorities reportedly deport 30 Eritreans who were seized while they were trying to cross the Libyan border with Sudan three weeks ago.

Eye witnesses from Asmara stated that they saw a number of the deported people in Asmara airport before being taken to We'a detention camp.

It is notable that Libya has announced that it was intending to deport 2 million foreigners who are living in the country illegally.

Sources pointed out that Eritreans in Libyan detention camps are living under the protection of the UNHCR.
