University of Asmara graduates
36th batch

Asmara, 8
July 2006 – The University of Asmara today graduated
1,202 students in Masters Degree, Degree, Diploma and
certificate programs in different fields.
The
36th batch includes 948 students in first degree, 183 in
advanced diploma, 26 in diploma and 45 in Masters Degree
out of which 27 attended the courses within the
university’s capacity while the remaining had been
corresponding with Stony Brook University in the United
States and South African university.
The
university which was established in 1958 is graduating
batches for the 14th time since independence with a
total of 10,160 students of which 70% are in
degree.
Moreover, apart from the regular classes,
the university is giving summer class program to 580
secondary school level teachers for the 5th consecutive
time and degree extension program for 450 students.
